I have made group bookings under my name and Thunderbird Flocking for both the caravan park and the motel across the road. Both sites have agreed to hold the bookings until the end of April 2019 after which any unbooked rooms will become open to the public. Crows Nest Caravan Park Ph 07 4698 1269 7 x cabins with double bed 3 x cabins with double bed and a set of kids bunks 2 x cabins with 2 x single beds and a set of kids bunks. 2 x cabins with 1x double bed and one set of bunks double on bottom and single on top 1 x cabin with 1 x double bed and one set of bunks double on the bottom and single on top. All the above are around $100 a night They also have camp sites with and without en-suite if you want to go that way. Link Crows Nest Motel. 07 4689 1399 Definitely a bit more comfortable but between $130 & $190 12 rooms including Queen, family and a 2 bedroom apartment Link Have a look on their websites for more info.
The Grand Old Crow hotel in Crows Nest about a kilometre from the caravan park also has 10 pub style rooms. I haven't been in touch with them but it is an other option. Link Cheers Pete.
Don't forget that Hawaiian shirts and braces are the height of sartorial style. Just saying.

The motel has just let me know that the remainder of the rooms (5) will be now made available to general public as of now. Soo if you're keen on a motel room probably get in now. Don't know how the van park is traveling but I'll check over the next few days and let you know.

It's good to have an end to the journey, buts it's the journey that matters in the end.

Hi folks. Crows Nest Flocking Bit of a plan for the weekend. Friday night . Beer garden at the Grand Hotel Crows nest booked from 7.00 pm they are having their raffle night from about 6 till 7 so if you want to get there a bit earlier and support the locals also good. Given the local maxi taxi a heads up to move bodies from the caravan park about 6.30, the park is about 1km from the pub. We can work out how to get back on the night. Sat and Sunday buffet breakfast available at the cafe at the park. Sat morning gather out the front of the park for stands up at 10.30 am Head to Perseverance Dam for photos then off to Esk Grand hotel for lunch. Plenty of parking out the back. We have the deck out the back of the pub booked. Aim for 12.00 Only a short 60 - 70 km run to Esk. Do what you like back to crows nest in the Arvo, short trip back or a longer ride through Yarraman and Blackbutt. Saturday night BBQ at the park. Probably about $15 a head not sure yet. We have the Clubhouse area booked for the night. Then your on your own. Cheers Pete.

Pete and Terri did a great job organising and catering and basically working their arses off, many thanks.
And it looks like the 2020 spring one will be back to our 2nd flocking town of Tumbarumba

Worth mentioning that our Oz Flockings only continue to work because people are willing to ride. Having a look today at where people came from and the average distance was about a 1000 km each way. With Frank from SA and Pete for Victoria doing more than a 1000 miles each way. Cheers see ya next time.
