Anyway, it's time to start making your plans, booking your room (or camp site).
I'll be getting in on Thursday midday (28May), but the bulk of the festivities are set for Friday and Saturday, as usual. Everyone departs on Sunday...although some folks then scoot on over to Americade in Lake George, NY.
We always get one day of rain....either on the way to Bennington or on the way home (wherever you live). In 8 years, I don't think I've been wet all weekend....so don't pay any attention to the forecasts. Just plan on one damp ride, and suck it up buttercup!!!
Yes, the website is lacking in getting the dates updated, but that's coming.

Paradise Inn is the normal basecamp, and has held a block of rooms for us at 2019's prices! My room is booked...IS YOURS!!???!?!

Well, as you might expect, things are still a bit up in the air with the shutdowns, virus, etc. We haven't given up, but we're not currently booking or making any hard commitments for food. And with many states extending their "stay home" stuff until the end of April, we might run the risk of losing any room deposits. I'm going to call the Paradise Inn next week, to see if they'll extend that another week or so for us!
I'm pretty sure I'm going, no matter what. Well, because it's only 45min and I'm sure SOMEONE will show up at one point or another????

And just after I post this, I hear that the VT governor has extended the "stay at home" orders until 15May. And that "lodging businesses should not accept reservations until after 15Jun".
I will still call the Paradise Inn to see what they intend to do.

Don't cancel anything just yet....but it is looking a bit sketchy!?! I'm sure there will still be a handful of us renegades that break "quarantine" just to get the hell out!!
