I have searched the forum and can't seem to find a straight answer on this. Seems there is disagreement... I'm also considering the Deuce risers as they seem to definitely bring the bars back and up and they are considerably less $$ than completely new bars... Thanks..

I have the triumph T bars, and they are closer to the rider and lower. The thunderbikes seem to be what you'd end up with if you straightened out the 2 stems a bit pushing them up and towards thew front of the bike. They look quite a bit more higher and forward than the triumphs. The other differences are price, diameter and the way the diameter is reduced for the controls which need a 1" bar. The triumphs are a little over an inch, i think 1 and an 1/8, but possibly 1 and 1/4", i just don't recall. They taper down to 1" for the controls. The thunderbikes are 1.5" and do not taper down, they just immediately go from 1.5 to 1". Price wise the thunderbikes are a lot more expensive. Over twice the price.

(Re: daz) | | | I've seen plenty of pics of the Triumph T-bars but hardly any of the Thunderbike ones. I've seen Thunderbike pics from their website and there's nothing obvious there. I'm looking for something that brings the bars up and back. I really like the bars and risers on the storm. Likely go with the deuce risers for now though...

(Re: eightrackpony) | | | The Triumph Tbars are designed to provide the same hand position as the stock bars, but it seems that all the dealers install the stock bars angled upwards so when most people go to the Tbars a lower hand position is the result.

I have the Triumph T bars and I think that they look fantastic and add to the riding experience. I recommend them, particularly with the chrome cable clamps.

(Re: mat1600) | | | I measured mine the way thunderbike told me to measure to get it correct , anyway you will find the Thunderbike are 40mm higher and 15mm further away than the triumph t bars, for me it was'nt worth the money to change after i had already bought the T bars , in any case be a bit wary i've heard that Thunderbike are having a few problems supplying stock.
I read on a rocket forum a guy in the uk was manufacturing T bars for rocket riders , perhaps a custom made set might suit.

(Re: billet) | | | Well I saw the Triumph T bars on a blue bird today at the dealership and it truly did look fantastic so I'm heavily leaning toward getting them rather than the deuce risers. The blue bird has the sleek chrome cable clamps too and it looked really smart.

HI Buzzo,
Getting a set of heated grips as its starting to get a bit chilly here, and thought may as well do the bars at the same time.
Given that everyone is saying the Triumph T-Bars give the same riding postion as the originals that come with the bike, I guess its a cosmetic change and so no real difference. How do you find the Thunderbike bars in comparison since the ergonomics are different.
How do they feel, i.e would you buy them again, are they more comfortable and do they alter the handling given that they are higher and put you further forward.
