Has anybody successfully removed the Alternator rotor without using the triumph rotor T3880200 tool? Thanks

Yes. The very first time I didn't have the tool or anything close I warmed it up with a hairdryer and it came loose. Since then I've used the thread of an oversized tow ball, not quite the right thread but with a washer against the crank it works. I did a mates recently and neither would work so borrowed the right tool and even with that it was bloody hard to get off.

Righto could not get this off, so I bit the bullet and brought the real tool too get this rotor off and she will not budge. Tried heat, tried rubber mallet how much force do you need. Feel like I'm about to lift her off the kick stand hahaha

Quick update.... I got the bloody thing OFFFF YOU LITTLE RIPPA... when I was winding it in she all of a sudden went loose and I thought it's either given up the good fight or I've broken the end off the crank.

This how I do it. Ppl. used to warn me about cracking the housing, but until now I have done it more than 10 times, no issues. The tool is an SK40 collet tool shank ER40, just has the right thread.

Great to have you back mate

You have bigger balls than I using that socket extension, even with the right tool holding the flywheel I sweat getting that torque wrench to click!
