I just went to start it after the winter layup, it's been on a battery conditioner and the lights on that unit suggested the battery was ok.
I turned the ignition on, got the usual squawk and everything seemed normal, however when I pushed the starter button it tried to turn over but then sort of went clunk and stopped doing anything. If I turn the ignition on there are no lights, noises or anything. If it was an appliance I would have said 'it fused".
Before I start digging around and buying a new battery does anyone have any ideas? Could it be as simple as a fuse?
Many thanks

Easy enough to check 'em, but sounds like last gasp of a dying battery. Try a jump from a car? Never had a "weak" battery in mine, they just quit altogether.

Despite the 'battery conditioner' giving me the green lights as soon as I put a jump pack on the battery, I got the ignition sequence and lights so I've ordered a new battery. Thanks again
