This was last years winter project ... 2001 Hinckley Bonnie. Just a lot of subtle mods really but it kept me entertained for the winter.

More pics here:

Hagon shocks and fork springs, alloy rims, stainless spokes, black hubs, gaiters, stove enamelled downpipes, straight through cans, EBC floating disc front and solid rear, aftermarket tacho and screen, Metz Tourance tyres, Norman Hyde M bars and steering damper, bar risers, Thruxton adjustable fork caps (for preload), short black front guard, short rear silver guard ... de-SAISed, modded air box, K&N, Thruxton needles (one shim), bigger main (can't remember where I go to ... 125?), 40 pilot, all good. And some other bits.

Hope you like it, rides very well, a keeper, Lee.

Oops, forgot the nice black and drilled front sprocket cover and renthall sprockets (I went up one tooth on the front for a more relaxed ride and the engine is good for it) ...

Very nicely done.....I've had a 2001 Bonnie for 10 years come September. Similar to you, Hagon rears/ Progressive fronts/ Black and chrome, TOR's, rejetted to 130's with airbox mods, Unifilter, Corbin Gunfighter and Lady, tach kit, Dunlop GT 501's, new front sprocket, Monza gas cap and most recently added a pair of Triumph Classic bags to it.

Gets attention wherever she goes.....

Just realised the pics posted don't have the steering damper or bar risers on them ... so she is a work in progress ... and always will be

Funny thing is that it gets more attention than anything I have ever ridden - more than the T'Bird. Guess folk think it is an old bike in pretty nice condition.

Will eventually get round to fitting a 902cc kit but the engine kinda matches the chassis pretty well at the moment.

Cheers.

they are illegal on bikes made after 1973, which begs the question

Horse have you been stopped for using the plate?

as i was thinking i like the idea of the black and silver plate

Bloke down the road from me does them. I shall get one and use it on euro trips. Maybe risk it over here. Wanted to put one on for Bled but forgot all about it.

Black number plates in Switzerland are military plates!

Well then, that would be safe to use when you go touring out of the country then.... no one outside of Switzerland has ever seen one of those plates.
