So we swapped bikes and I sat behind my Bird through a few tight corners. I was happy to see that my mate ran wide on a few corners just as I did when I first got it. A combination of not being able to push the front in due to riding position, a lack of clearance and going in a bit quick has this effect. Not complaining as it handles well for the bike it is and I'm very happy with it and wouldn't swap for anything and as Clint Eastwood once said " a man has to know his limitations". But those Tigers are fantastic, gives massive amounts of confidence as you just keep leaning it over and putting on the power it goes wherever you want. They look a bit top heavy sort of ungainly, (not GS ugly) but to ride 1 is a real blast. If anyone gets the chance take 1 for a spin, lots of fun.

Swapped my Storm for the Tiger 1050 for about half a day of the ride and loved it - i found it exactly the same as you did. When we returned to the UK the friend with the Tiger decided to sell it, so I now have a Tiger for the midweek commute and evenings and use the Storm on a weekend and longer trips, although the Tiger is more than capable of the longer stuff, I love the Storm on a longer ride.
If the choice is difficult my advice is be greedy, have everything

What annoys me is that i rode with Paul all over the place and enjoyed the bird so much I didn't want to get off it - hence never having a go on his tiger -which i always said I wanted to. Now you have it . And now you are the only person to have both your bikes pictured on the same trip. it is a great looking bike , especially in white. He,s now getting a BMW RR so that should be fun.I am not a great fan of sport bikes but will have a go.
Glad you are enjoying it.

No problem Mat, your more than welcome to have a spin on it the next time we meet up, although it will tend to be the Bird I am using on a weekend
Cheers

This is my mate Steve's brand new 2012 1050 that we had a trip to A1 at York to pick up yesterday. His first Triumph (I tried with the TBird push but he had his eye on this )
Steve is joining us on the 'Thunder to Bloc' trip next year.
Any other 1050 owners will probs meet him on the Tigger 1050 site.
