Is this site turning into the adventure bike forum what with KTM's and now Explorer's cluttering up the place. NL has already come out and so it seems Birdy is about to make an announcement Who will be next ? |

KTMs cluttering the place? It's just one little (ok... TALL!) bike amongst many Triumph giants. Don't get your panties in a bunch, Mjgt.

With as much money as Birdy is putting into his bird these days, he's in for the long haul with the tbird. I happen to think that an adventure tourer is the perfect compliment to a bird. Probably why they're considered as potential bikes by so many of us. You don't see ANY cruisers put in this section of the site. Seems no one sees a viable option to the bird on the market and I don't blame them.
So, how was the ride? |

As usual, you're correct... there just AREN'T any viable cruiser alternatives to the Thunderbird. Finding (and then paying for!) my next 'Bird will take a bit longer than planned, but I WILL get another one (whist keeping my 990... the wife won't win that battle )
Man... I am SO glad there's not a single Explorer to be test-ridden in the whole state of Colorado. Keeps any latent temptation at bay
BTW: Did my old Bags Connection tail bag show up yet? Talk about Slow Boat shipping!
Oh, and since this is now an Adventure Forum, how 'bout we take it a step further and go full dirt bike?
The new KTM Freeride 350... I want one of these, too!
Check out the radical hill climb/stump jump at 1:36 and the tree climb at 1:46... freaking COOL!

:-( Couldn't ride it. Denis didn't have the insurance papers come through on time, so they couldn't fit them with a licence plate for test riding... They have the garage number ~ with the 'u' at the end of the number ~ but that's only covered by the works insurance.
Soon I hope. Soon....
